Genre: Parenting & Families
Author: Shelagh Rogers and Various Writers
Recommended to read this book by some friends who’ve also decided to not have children and it covers the topic from numerous writers’ point of view who also each made that decision. Its an interesting book and a set of short essays from various writers so you get quite a variety to read and think on. All the writers are woman and share some interesting perspectives on the decisions in their lives. Some can be related with, some not, but all share a common set of societal and misunderstood emotions with others who learn that you do not want children. Some great points are made to challenge the typical misconceptions of childless life, and its great to read more about how to handle the negative comments and emotions you get from others who believe no one should have a life without kids. They are really the ones who should read this book, not me.
