When I read your following statement "Take the time to make it concise and to the point while proofing, looking to eliminate unnecessary wording and sentences," I was reminded of the saying by someone wise: "If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter." I would like to add that small things we tend to overlook can actually be quite annoying to someone (who's a stickler like me :-). For instance: it's ≠ its their ≠ there your ≠ you're effect ≠ affect advise ≠ advice etc. Sorry for the long comment. Good article, as always.
